If you can't see when the {{Unsourced}} tag was added, it may have been on one of the profiles your father's profile was merged with.  You can add a source for the info and then delete the tag.  The purpose of the tag is to add the profile to the "unsourced list" so that people who enjoy tracking down sources will know it's a profile in need of sourcing.

Yep, when you merged the profiles on October 19 the {{Unsourced}} tag carried over from the duplicate profile.  I've added a few sources, removed the tag, and corrected the <ref> codes, so the profile should be all set now.
wow. that was fast. thank you.

Hi Allen, it appears because the only source information it has is personal info from you. This will not mean anything to others, so the notice is to encourage you to add verifiable sources. This could be info from certificates you possess, or records from places like (free site) or any of the paid sites.

Actually, since this is a profile for your father, and you do have personal knowledge of his life, your citation should be sufficient and the Unsourced template could have been removed. See this Sources FAQ about the Unsourced Research Note Box.

I see additional sources have been added now, and the template removed. All the better! It's always best to add reliable sources whenever possible, to validate statements in the profile.

I honestly think this is important to stress because first-hand knowledge does mean something even if at wikitree some of us may be fatigued from seeing that citation used inappropriately.
