I tried using this and got nowhere.

Can anyone advise how to find the records for someone who was supposedly an officer in the Yorkshire Dragoons, 1925-37 and served in WW2 with the Rifle Brigade, 1940-45?

My usual source for people in the British military (or officers, anyway) is The Gazette. I can't always find who I'm looking for, but in some cases, I've been able to work out amazingly detailed histories of their military careers.

Yes

I didnt think FMP would allow access to records for free for 3 whole months!!

But 1 week in November until Armstice day sounds just right!!
