Beth: Welcome to WikiTree. I hope that you decide to sign the Honor Code and that our volunteers are able to help you. Please ask questions. I found that there was a big learning curve at first as I got to know the program. Later, as I became more comfortable with the system, I found that the chance to collaborate, learn, and share information about my ancestors is amazing.
One of the coolest things I learned through my involvement with WikiTree is that Pieter (Tjercks) Schuyler is my ninth great-grandfather. Elizabeth "Eliza" (Schuyler) Hamilton (Alexander Hamilton's wife) is my fourth cousin (six times removed.) That means my seventh great-grandmother Catalyntje (Schuyler) Bleeker could call herself a "Schuyler sister" when she lived in New York. (This only makes sense if you are fan of Hamilton the musical.)
