  • Husband
  • Marriage date and location
  • 2 children

These are the sources I am using:

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Hi Marie, I see that you have added the sources that you mentioned. There is something wrong with that ancestry link. I tried it from your post and the profile and got the same results. It wants me to join. I am signed in and have World Explorer so there is no reason why it should be doing that. Check your link please and see if you can get the correct link.

You can create a share link by clicking the tool or share and emailing it to yourself. It will then pop-up a box with a share link. That will allow people who do not subscribe to Ancestry to view the document or translation.

I am new to this and made these mistakes to a few people. I fixed them all.  Are Mill-385 new sources admissible?

The FamilySearch sources are acceptable. I have added the full source citation to the first one. I am going to let you do the other two so that you will see how easy it is. You will not have to add the link because the link is in the citation.

Click on your link to the record and on the right side of the record it says 'Document Information' with an arrow. Click that arrow and scroll down you will see the already formatted citation. All you have to do is copy it and paste it to the profile. The link is in the citation. smiley

Marie, we all make mistakes especially when we are new. I have made my share. We learn as we go so just think of it as a learning experience and in no time you will know more than you ever thought you would. Always ask if you are not sure and someone will be happy to guide you in the right direction. That is one of the wonderful things about WikiTree. :)
