What surname should I use for my personal profile?

Hello, My name is Brandon Doom. When I was born my mother was unsure of who my biological father was. Therefore, at birth, the surname she gave me was her maiden name (Anderson). However, at 3 months old she started dating the man who she married when I was 1. He legally adopted me when I was 4. My surname then changed to (Doom). Upon adaption, a new birth certificate was created with my new last name.

This July, I met my biological father through DNA testing and it has been great. His surname is Batusic. So, my question is, for genealogical purposes, what surname should I list on my personal profile?

Technically if Anderson was the last name you were called by at birth I think that would be your LNAB with any other last names you've gone by in the other last names/current last names slot. However, I think can be a personal descion, if there's a certain name you are more comfortable listing. I know some adoptees create two profiles for themselves. One to trace their adopted parent's tree and one to trace their biological tree.

Interesting. Everything here is written as a “should” rather than as a “shall” so choices can be made either way. It even outlines a case where creating a duplicate profile is an option.
