An Ancestrall File has Alexander John McIntyre born about 1894 at Casterton, Victoria, Australia. He died in France in 1918, but on 18 August.

His parents, Donald McKay McIntyre and Catherine Ann Finlayson, were born in Australia.

Thanks Frank, but not my McIntyre.
You may already have his paternal grandparents, but there is an ancestral file that shows them as John McIntyre born 1817, died 1888. John's wife was Mary McKay born 1824, died 5 March 1923.
