I am not really sure if I have put this in the correct category... Apologies if I have done it wrong...

I have a Notable person in my tree.  I have just added the Notable Sticker to his profile but I am not sure where I should put the link to his wikipedia page or what other information I should include.

Can someone help me with this please.

You can add such links directly under the Sources heading. However, I can't find him on Wikipedia. Are you looking at Sir Alexander Morison, MD (1779-1866) - who is a different person entirely - or is Google not bringing this up correctly?

Nevermind, I found him: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Morrison_(botanist)

As Rob says - the Sources section is fine for the WIkipedia Page link

The only Alexander Morrison I can find from Australia is this one - and his dates dont match your profile.

http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/morrison-alexander-4254

However, since he does have an entry in a National Biographical Dictionary, he WOULD BE considered to be a Notable.

Is this the Alexander Morrison you are looking for?

If yes then you need to check your dates..

And I found his wikipedia page.

Nope. Her relative was Scottish and was a botanist in Western Australia.
OK the biography is wrong - but the wikipedia page is correct.
Yes the Biography is wrong but that is the correct Wikipedia Page.
Which biography is wrong?

This biography is not for the correct person  http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/morrison-alexander-4254 but the link Robynne gave for wikipedia is for the correct person.

Ah, ok.  Two separate people, one has an ADNB entry, the other doesn't.  (I thought what was being said was that the bio on ADNB was incorrect in details, and was going to offer to get it corrected.  With different people, though, there are no corrections needed.)

I see that the wikidata item has been added, so that's good.  :)

There is a Notables project.  I don't think you need to be a member to add the sticker but in answer to your question of what is required, you can consult their page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Notables

I went ahead and formatted the Wikipedia reference to that spec, added the WIkidata reference number, and added the WikiTree ID to Wikidata.  I also added the category 'Scotland Notables' to the profile.  This could have been done by adding an argument to the Notables sticker but sometimes folks will remove the sticker so manually adding the category retains that attribute in such a case.

Ok I completely didnt understand the second paragraph, where did you format things and add wikidata I cant seem to see anything.

On the Notables project page referenced earlier, look for the heading 'If the person has a Wikipedia entry'

Ha I worked it out I see the wikidata thing now... so does that not show on the actual wikipedia profile then... I have never actually looked at wikidata before...
I am so not technically minded so I get rather lost sometimes but thank you for your help.
