Who are William Henry Thorp/e's parents? b 1839 OH

Question

William Henry Thorpe was born in 1839 in Cincinnati, Ohio, according to his burial records in Hecla, SD (d. 1909).

I am hitting a brick wall.

He is born and the next time I see him is in 1862 when he marries Elmira (sometimes Almira) Severse Putney (sometimes Putnam). Following I have censuses, burial, etc. But I have not been able to find his parents. The Lyman E. Thorp family is at the least not immediately related.

1860 Census Cincinnnati,Ward 12,Hamilton Ohio,Father Charles W. Thorpe

Mother Catherine Thorpe, and 5 children.

according to story i read,he was born may 11 1839 .
