Are there any Pictures/portraits of Mayflower passengers ?

I saw a request on FB asking if there are any pictures of either Thomas or Joseph Rogers.I am not aware of any.

I don't believe so, Frederick. Very few of the Mayflower passengers have known portraits. I think they were mostly just trying to survive, and perhaps their Puritan faith would have kept them from being too prideful. Consider that there were court cases where people were fined for wearing boots of too high a quality for their station, silk if they weren't wealthy enough.

But, imagine: what if there had been an artist in Plymouth Colony?

Edward Winslow had his portrait painted in London in 1651.  I think he's the only one.

I Think you are correct about Winslow, Someone did post a pic on FB which the author thinks is Thomas or Joseph Rogers. I think for reasons both of us are aware that there are no pics of either one.The person who posted the pic said I should look at Rembrandt's portraits. He used people who lived in Leiden. I am skeptical .

The Mayflower Society seems to think that Edward Winslow's is indeed the only one known & verified:

Only one Mayflower Passenger has a known portrait, and that's Edward Winslow.
