Privacy concern - is it possible to set my tree to be visible only to other WikiTree members?

Question

I'm currently in a situation where I don't want my tree on WikiTree to be open for the entire internet to see (and as such, have it set to red), but would like other WikiTree members to be able to view it... is there any way this can be done?

Of course, the profiles of my ancestors themselves are all public and I have no issue with this... would just rather the actual tree itself (accessible from my own profile) was only available to WikiTree members.

Sorry, Thomas, but that is not possible.  The privacy level you select for any profile (including your own) applies the same to WikiTree members and the general public alike.

If your parents' profiles are public then everyone (members and non-members) can see their ancestors, so people would be able to see your tree, starting from your parents instead of starting from you.  I don't know if that's any help for you, though.

I'm not sure of the reason for your concern, though.  WikiTree is free to join and anyone can do it, so sharing information with other members is not all that different from sharing it with non-members - some of them will become members soon.

The only way to do this is to have your own privacy set to a high level, and then invite all other members who you would like to see your own connections to your trusted list. It this moment you have Red privacy, meaning I cannot see the connection to your parents or your links to others.

There is no such thing as your tree, just your connections to others.
