He was born in St Marylebone, London, England in April 1819 and married Susannah McAveney at the Maize Hill Chapel, Greenwich, Kent, England on 21 March 1844. He served time in prison for theft and abandoned his wife and children and fled to the USA on release from prison. He arrived in New York on the the "Yorktown"  on 10 January 1850 never to be heard of again. Possibly changed his name. If anyone knows anything I would be very interested to hear.
