Is anyone closer than 19 degrees from Ronnie van Zant?

Question

I am connected to Ronnie van Zant by 19 degrees through a Popejoy/Denny marriage.

We are also 10thcousins, once removed.  Nearest ancestor: James Miller.

I was going to say yes until the last link to the purported common ancestor with a big Uncertain parentage at Rachel Brundage. Prompts me to investigate a bit further.

No 22 degrees for me, through a connection from my Chattin ancestry (which has been showing up in these lately, which is exciting -- it means more connecting is happening).

And we are eleventh cousins, once removed with Colonial Ayers ancestry.

With the Van Zant name I would have thought for sure we'd have some shared New York ancestry but it doesn't look that way. (So far.)

He is my Fourth cousin, Once removed.  Our common ancestor is Garret Van Zandt. Before the Van Zandt's moved to FL. they lived in Jones County Georgia. My Great Grandmother was born a Van Zandt, married a Jarrell and lived in Jones county on the Jarrell Plantation.
