Mentor Tips - finding other WikTree Genealogists who are following a surname.

+33 votes
Ever spend time looking at all the things you can do from your "Surname Drop Down" Menu?  Over there on the fight at the top of your profile page?

Click on it and go all the way to the bottom then click on - (mine says):"Gaulden Genealogy".  Yours will say whatever your surname is.

At the top right of that page it will show you who else is following your surname on WikiTree.

You can actually do this from any profile - my Grandmother is a Templeton.  I can see all the other WikiTree Genalogists interested in the Templeton surname the same way. from her profile page.

Cool, eh?  Mags

That's a great tip, Mags! I was aware of three WikiTree members who are following my primary surname, and correspond with them regularly, but using your tip I found seven more, three of whom have errors in estimated dates and can use my help with corrections and source citations. This is not only a good way to find "fellow travelers" but also to improve the accuracy of WikiTree.
