Hi Matthew,

While your images look quite helpful, they should be used as a starting point. They are at best a secondary source for most of the information contained within, and likely tertiary sources for much of it. Without citations, it's hard to go back and check the work of these family trees. I would recommend searching through familysearch.org to see what you can confirm or deny with primary sources or other independent secondary research.
Did you look at the will that was linked to by another member in your other thread?  It doesn’t help you in immediately making more connections,  but he does name his wife as Elizabeth.

It also has a bequest to his grandson Daniel Gardiner Chance of a silver ring with the arms of England engraved on it, which he says was given to Sir William Gardiner, an auditor of the mint, by King James (can’t find anyone fitting that description, but someone more knowledgeable than me may have a suggestion.) Christopher says he’s bequeathing it so it becomes a family heirloom.

Only family members mentioned besides wife are his 3 grandchildren & daughter, but it has got an 1811 note attached which confirms that Charlotte is now Mrs Cox & that she & Daniel Chance are the survivors, as Elizabeth, wife of Christopher died intestate. (This also shows Thomas the 3rd grandchild died before 1811.)

Also mentions Warren Hastings, & his good friends John & George Hawker. (John Hawker looks like he owned a dyers in Dudbridge.)

Anybody in the tree that could fit with the William? (It still leaves a 100 yearish gap but may help you move forward?)

Also have you looked in depth at Daniel Gardiner Chance? Did he have descendants? They may be all over this already?

As an aside, one of the letters to Christopher is dated 1808, but his will was probated in 1804, so perhaps to another family member?
L Felix,

where did you see this will?  Are we able to see it to get a full transcript?

Someone else posted a link to it in a previous thread on this subject (had a quick look because I am nosy.)
