photo image colours reversed on upload?

The photo i just uploaded is actually coloured normally, which can be seen if you click on the link to see the full-size image.  But the small one has its colours reversed. (Memory Lane:  remember colour negatives?)

What do i need to do to get the colours to go back to normal?

Thanks, Melanie!  Please look now.
I just successfully uploaded a pic right after that one.  Why did that one go so bizarrely coloured?

That IS definitely weird.  Officially bizarre!  Congratulations on the blue Avatar person!  (Beats my green alien any day.)

I can't answer your "why is this happening", but at least now others can see it and maybe offer a reason.

I did a google search for "inverted colors when uploaded" and got this answer:

A lot of software can't handle a CMYK JPEG file, they expect RGB. Try converting to RGB.

Can you use your image/picture software to examine the format or properties and change the format?
Thanks George!  That sounded promising!  However, the properties information says that the colour is 'sRGB'.  What does the s in front of RGB stand for?  Could that be the problem?

So far, i haven't found a place where i could change that sRGB to anything else...

I am at the end of my limited expertise... perhaps this link may give some insight: https://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/adobe-rgb.htm

I do not know if you can convert one format to the other.

Hah, this is strange. I'll see if I can figure out what's going wrong.

I would delete/remove the photo and then upload it again.

Did you scan the photo to your computer? This could be your problem.

I uploaded and deleted 3 times before asking the question, and 2 more times later - i have compressed the file and will try one more time...
Still having the issue.  The photo was scanned by a print shop, carried home on a flash drive, and saved on my computer.
Shirlea -- try sending it to me via email (you'll need to send me a private message first).
