The WikiTree Challenge: Will you join a January team? [closed]

Hi WikiTreers!

We are launching our most ambitious community event ever: The WikiTree Challenge.

Each week in 2021, a team of WikiTreers will collaborate on the tree of a special genealogy guest star. Our challenge is to improve their publicly-accessible genealogy — to make it more accurate and complete than it previously was on any public family tree website. Our goals:

• evaluate and improve accuracy on WikiTree,
• consider where and why other trees are more accurate and complete,
• make new friends.

Can you participate in any of these weeks?

Fascinating Challenge. The point system sounds a bit confusing. Sign me up for each week, and let's see what I can do.

And the Challenge graphic looks like it contains the old Pepsi logo. You may want to re-think that (trademarks, yada, etc.)

I'll be captaining a team all four weeks of January. I'm still learning how this all works, but I think it will be fun!

I hesitate because I'm only able to help when you need dutch sources from 1700 till 1950's. So if you need any help with that, I'm game.

Time is no problem. We're in a severe lock down till 19th of january. I can only reach the digital sources because all the archives are closed at the moment. But we have so many sources on line and every week there are more possibilities.

Just a name won't tell if they have dutch ancestry. I would like to be a dutch helpline. called in when needed. I think that's one of the strong characteristics of wikitree: genealogists worldwide who help eachother to make the worldwide tree possible.

Depending on the person you would need more than a regional team to build trees for them. so I will participate passively every week till I'm needed to become active  to add dutch information
