A needed merge cannot be completed. Tech help, please.

"The merge of Bridget Deeley (Deeley-24) and Bridget Deely (Deely-6) is already in progress by another user. If it is not completed in five minutes, you can complete it."

The above message occurs whenever I try this merge.  I have tried it after making myself profile manager and also without any profile manager.  I have tried the merge days and weeks apart.  -NGP

When this happens you need to reject the merge and then propose the merge again.

I merged the two.
