David Pike the administrator at the PIKE DNA project has provided a groundbreaking, innovative, and awesome analysis of Big Y results. PIKE DNA blog

Yes, the results are somewhat technical but PIKEs are very lucky to have an administrator like David, to shine insights on their Y-DNA results.

Thank you David for all your hard work.

Ezra Pike (1761 - 1840) is my 6th great grandfather on maternal side and I’ve done dna testing.

Esra from Isle La Motte, is a well-known name to me.  You are in "Group 6" here and a distant cousin of mine:

PIKE DNA project

Here is the book by Ruth G Pike. It's a large file, (130 pages) download with a high speed connection and then print. It's a great read and pushes the line back to the late 1640's and the time of the Puritans.

"Some Descendants of James Pike of Charlestown and Reading, Massachusetts and The Times in Which They Lived"

Also, to avoid any confusion, the DNA test you took is different than the Y-DNA that tracks your surname. Your Y-DNA if you were to take it, would be for your paternal Simpier.

This is really amazing!
