You might try looking at the 1930 and 1940 censuses for California.

There are a number of Elizabeth Abrahams, but none with a middle initial F or middle name Ferne. Censuses are notorious of incorrect middle initials.

Perhaps the name was mis-entered as Abrams, Abrahamson, or some other permutation. Do you have other identifying information such year or place of birth?

Hi George! Thank you for your speedy response.  I'll post more when my cousin gets the Divorce Decree from LA County. We just have so little to go on with her. The newspaper is calling her one name, she goes by something else, and then gets divorced and no one ever hears from her again!!
