41 for me. But I believe it will be shorter as soon as the wikitree is more filled out in Europe it will become less. It went all the way to the USA and back this time.

I am just 31 degrees from Aleš, but my connection path crosses the Atlantic Ocean twice. From Aleš it wends its way to the United States, then it travels back to Scotland, then crosses the ocean again to Canada, from which it migrates to the United States, where it eventually finds me.

Neat! Mine only crosses once when Marija Stupica immigrates. It goes to a Hattie McTaggart in Illinois and then out to West Virginia before heading back to Illinois and Indiana (where I was born) with my German American relatives.

All the way to through Africa. I am amazed!! All my best connections through my husbands side of the family.

It went from Africa to Scotland, then American and then to Slovenia.

lets see - Ales's maternal great grandfather had a sister whose daughter appears to have married someone who emigrated to the USA - another connection in the USA had ancestors from Scotland which eventually connect up to my Scottish ancestors!!

I am 40 degrees of him. When he was member of the week, directly after he was connected to the Tree he was 43 degrees away from me. On my side it still goes through my Texas cousin, but doesn't continue anymore with her daughter, but her husband. Quite near on Aleš' side, there is now the connection through a wife and not anymore a child. But our connection goes from Germany via Texas through different US-States until it finally arrives in Slovenia.
