Meridith Pool (m) 1825 birth, I want to know his birth place and parents.

Question

I'm looking for information on Meridith(or any variation of) Poole/Pool. I want to know where he was born and who his parents were. I know he was in the '42 of the Confederate army', he lived in Davidson County, NC in the 1850's. His est birth year is 1823-1828, and he married Mary(Molly/Polly) Simerson in 1849. I know of 3 children, Thomas (son) is my line.

Background on the naming of a Poole son "Meredith:

When William Pettypool came to the Colonies in 1653, his ocean voyage had been paid for by a man named Davis.Mr. Davis assigned the Bounty offered by the Virginia Company( of 50 acres per soul brought to the Colonies) to a man named Meredith.

     This information a part of Dr. Carolyn Hartsough's paper on Her ancestor, William Pettipool.

According to the 1850 and 1860 census he was born in Davidson Co. NC in 1826. His birthplace is listed as North Carolina. FamilySearch does not find anything about a marriage or family.

Hi: I found confirmation of their marriage: Meredith Pool to

Mary Simirson. Notice the different spelling of surnames. Record states marriage

date of Oct 30,1849 North Carolina USA. Record with info. North Carolina,

Marriage Collection 1741-2004. His residence in 1850 and 1860 is Davidson NC.

Meredith Poole  Fort Macon was the residence in January 1865.

There are 2 trees on Ancestry.ca surname : Bear and Brink. His date of birth is

recorded as 1826. You might know this already but I will type it:
