Is there any way to view your closest connections? Like some kind of list?

Logan, your closest connections will be to your nearest relatives - ancestors and siblings.  The easiest way to view them is to click the ANCESTORS button on your profile.

WikiTree counts connections as a for-fun exercise that is not genealogically significant.  They include all the steps to get from you to another person whose profile is here, which include across marriages.  That is what removes the genealogical significance from it.  As far as I know (which is not necessarily everything about it) the only way to get a list of connections is to select another WikiTree profile.  I don't think there is any way to view a list of everyone you are connected to - that would probably be millions of profiles.

Or Descendant button is good too. Other than those I would agree - the "fun" connections to historic figures, notables, etc. isn't something that you can sort by "nearness" or "smallest connection".
It might be interesting to be able to get a listing of all persons who are: 1, 2, 3, 4 steps away from you, but the numbers could get quite large depending on how well-connected to the tree you are and built out the tree is around you. As far as I know, there is no app that currently generates a list like that.

Hi Logan.

You may be interested in using the Ancestor Explorer app: Ancestor Explorer App

In the first box enter your WikiTree ID number.

In the second box choose the number of ancestor generations back you want to see (1 to 20 generations is available).

in the third box, choose the first item on the drop down list "All - All ancestors".

Then there are 3 Optional display features if you are interested in those.

Then click the "Generate List" button and it will display a list of your ancestors.

Also, there is a bunch of different reports under the menu item "Family Tree & Tools" on the "My WikiTree" tab that you might be interested in.
