Was Richard Chilton a Member of Parliament?

Mayflower ancestors are way out of my league, but I came across the profile of Richard Chilton, grandfather of James Chilton and it mentioned he was a Member of Parliament but I can't find him anywhere at this site

http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/research/members/1509-1558/C

Does anyone have other information to confirm or deny his status as an MP?

Hello John,

You may have more luck with the following two U.K. Government sites regarding Parliamentary records.

http://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/parliamentary-archives/archives-overview-holdings/

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/looking-for-subject/parliament.htm

All the best
