Just popping this up for G2G, since the comment was posted 6 months ago and nothing has been done. Just wandered across this, is not my area of expertise at all. Cheers!

On NaN undefined NaN Peter Coene wrote on Turner-1814:

Massachusetts colony was founded in 1620. Unless he was a native either his birth year (1574) is wrong or his place of birth (Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts) is. Also place of death is listed as "England." I get the feeling that the 2 were confused.

thanks, Joe. There appears to be some conflation between he and his son John.  How do we know which one is the John turner referenced in the ironworks doc?

I was basically following:

You are right that the records given would make it very difficult to tell father from son.
