Hi M J E. Thank you for the private message. Sorry but I'd rather communicate on G2G: you can reply to me with a comment in the web page.

Probably the best thing you can do at the moment is to continue building up your family tree by adding any grandparents you know of (with appropriate privacy settings if still alive) and then further ancestors, watching out that you are not creating duplicate profiles. You can also upgrade from family membership to full genealogist membership (for free), which will enable you to edit many already existing profiles.

Did any of the possible children Murray, Myrtle or Herbert I found in my answer sound relevant?

Hi M J E. Might he have married a Jane Murphy? If so, here are three possible children.

  • Murray born 1888 Victoria BDM birth registration number 7329/1888. Name: Murray Evans; Father: William Kennedy; Mother: Murphy Jane; Place: Wahgunyah
  • Myrtle born 1889 Victoria BDM birth registration number 25816/1889. Name: Myrtle Emily Evans; Father: William Kennedy; Mother: Murphy Jane; Place: Rutherglen
  • Herbert born 1892 Victoria BDM birth registration number 17281/1892. Name: Herbert James Evans; Father: William Kennedy; Mother: Murphy Jane; Place: Rutherglen.

Thank you Jim! Yes I have previously included in the Family Tree I am building all 3 people you mention. I am a direct Descendant of Murray who is my Grandfather.  I am hopeful of connecting with Direct Decendants of his siblings through their family tree building as it would be excellent for my grandchildren to make actual connections in real life with their extended family. This is one of the primary reasons I commenced building a family tree.
OK, M J E, I'm glad the records I found are relevant! You will be able to add them as formal sources on the WikiTree profiles of your grandfather and his siblings when you create them. Good luck finding some cousins!
