I know there are groups such as the Sons of the American Revolutions and Daughters of the American Revolution. I just found out there is a special book that goes to a group concerned with the Mayflower Gateway ancestors. Are there any more of these types of groups throughout any country? I am curious what they are and specifics about them, if possible.

Here's a great list: List of hereditary and lineage organizations - Wikipedia

Also, some of the families within the Mayflower Society have their own, smaller societies.

When I was at the SAR library in Louisville a couple of years ago I saw an application for a sons and daughters of witches lineage organization in a handout area. I did not see them listed here.
That is so cool, Marty! I will have to check that out. Thanks.
Thank you Sandra. I learned so much from that list.

Do you mean groups that are descended from particular types of people? There are several societies for individuals descended from royalty like the Royal Bastards Society (known formally as "Descendants of the Illegitimate Sons and Daughters of the Kings of Britain"). There are also some Huguenot societies. More information about the aforementioned can be found online.
