Advice and help reading baptism record

Question

I'm looking for some advice on Pierre Girardeau's birth date. I originally thought he was born in 1744 since his parents had a son named Pierre that year, but his burial record gives his age as 74 in 1836 which should give him a birth year around 1762. His parents had a son Laurent in 1760 and one named Jean Baptiste in 1764, but both of them appear to have married to other women and Pierre's burial record gives Josephte Cahier as his spouse. Is it likely that his age at burial is off by 17 years? or might his parents have had another son who I'm not finding at PRDH?

they are living in the area of Pointe-du-Lac, and the records for that parish, from what I can see, were loose-leaf and later bound together (or else very poor binding to start with), so likely there are some records lost.

Unfortunately, age at death in Quebec records are not always accurate. There was 2 sons named Pierre and 2 sons named Jean-Baptiste. The first Pierre was baptized on 9 NOV 1744 in Forges-Saint-Mauriceand was later buried on 17 AUG 1745 in Pointe-du-Lac. The first Jean-Baptiste was born on 23 DEC 1742 in Forges-Saint-Maurice and died on 18 AUG 1745 in Pointe-du-Lac.  

PDRH (Union #396421) confirms a second son named Pierre. There is a marriage contract between Pierre Girardeau and Marie-Josephe Caillé with notaire Jean-Baptiste Badeaux for 31 MAY 1783. The contract also confirms that Pierre is the son of Laurent Girardeau and Anne Trotaucheaux.

Nobody seems to have found a record for Pierre baptism around 1762 nor the marriage records.
