The WikiTree Challenge: Will you join a March team? [closed]

Hi WikiTreers!

We are in the midst of our most ambitious community event ever: The WikiTree Challenge.

Each week in 2021, a team of WikiTreers is collaborating on the tree of a special genealogy guest star. Our challenge is to make their genealogy more accurate and complete than it is anywhere else. Here are all the details: Help:WikiTree_Challenge

Can you participate in any of these weeks?

Week 9 March 3-10 Katherine Willson Team: Western Red Cedars
Week 10 March 10-17 Pat Richley-Erickson Team: Twisted Thistles
Week 11 March  17-24 Rob Warthen Team: Mighty Oaks
Week 12 March 24 - March 31 Dallan Quass Team Roses
Week 13 March 31 - April 7 Ellen Thompson-Jennings Team: Mid-Atlantic

To register, simply post an answer below (not a comment) and say something like "I want to participate in weeks 9 and 11."

Remember that you don't need to be skilled in the records for those ancestor locations. Things you can do to help: 

• Write biographies for others
• Work with the Category project for needed categories
• Add relevant resource links for others to use (to blogs, etc.)
• Check the G2G post occasionally and notify the captain of questions
• Keep an eye on Discord in case others need help
• Upload pictures that were approved by the guest to that weeks Space page
• Search a paid site you belong to for obituaries and articles

My mom's side is almost completely German.  We broke a brick wall when we found Peter Funk and found his wife was Colonial American, so my mom was a bit disappointed about not being pure German.  My Dad, though, is pure mutt...
