Seeking maiden name and parents of Charlotte (Unknown) Eddy-Kimbell of Rutland County, Vermont

Trying to find maiden name of Charlotte Unknown (b. ca. 1778, Massachusetts?) married twice in Rutland County, Vermont.  First to Peleg Eddy Sr. in 1797 but widowed in early 1798.  Married second in 1800 to John Kimbell.  Peleg Eddy Sr. resident of Clarendon, but shortly after he died, Charlotte had her son Peleg Eddy Jr. born at nearby Ira, Rutland County, Vermont (perhaps where her parents lived?).  Anyway, if Charlotte's parents had moved to Ira, Vermont, by 1790, perhaps her parents are among the 53 households in Ira during the 1790 Census (https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/5058/?count=50&residence=_ira-rutland-vermont-usa_5811).  At least that is the only possible clue I have to finding Charlotte's maiden name and parents.

P.S.  As noted in her biography, one of her children in the 1880 Census claims her mother (Charlotte) was born in Massachusetts.  However, another child claims in the 1880 Census that she was born in England (but both of them do agree that their father was born in Rhode Island).

the way I've broken a few of Donnie Blackstone's brick walls - takes time and deep digging

People didn't travel far in those days. Men usually married women whose families lived close

Find Peleg Eddy in the 1790 census. Make a list of the men who lived near who numbered a daughter. Check for wills these men wrote.

Peleg Eddy Sr. was in Clarendon in the 1790 Census, but since he died before Peleg Eddy Jr.  was born at nearby Ida, Vermont, I figure Charlotte probably had relatives in Ida (perhaps Peleg Jr. was born at the home of Charlotte's parents).  I hope so, because I think the population of Ida (53 households) was a lot less than the population of Clarendon.  If Charlotte was born in Massachusetts, need to find out what residents of Ida (or Clarendon?) had come from Massachusetts.  That might be faster than searching lots of wills.  Anyway, here is Peleg Eddy Sr. in the 1790 Census (at Clarendon):  https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/5058/images/4440914_00173?usePUB=true&_phsrc=DBj3785&_phstart=successSource&usePUBJs=true&pId=402828
