Need help searching Archion

I’m asking for help from someone who has an Archion account and is somewhat expert at reading the old German script.  I’m hoping that a baptism record (or two) can be located for Hans Conrad Kaiser/Keÿser/Kaÿser and his wife Anna Margretha Pfeiffer??.  They were from Illnhausen/Illhausen in Kirchbracht parish (Hessen).

They were married on 23 May 1726.  His father was Johann and her father was Johannes.http://www.archion.de/p/45d02b573b/

Daughter Anna Kunnigunda was baptized on 6 Jun 1728.http://www.archion.de/p/bf46fd6003/

There was another baptism of a Johann Melcher Kaÿser on 11 Apr 1722. His father was also Hans Conrad Kaÿser from Illnhausen.  Since the baptism preceded the marriage, it suggests that he may have had an earlier wife.http://www.archion.de/p/ba4e22166a/

Kaiser/Keÿser/Kaÿser is a somewhat difficult name because the K is sometimes written stylistically and sometimes as a lazy K that looks closer to an L, as in these examples of the spelling of Kirchbracht.

There are Kaisers in all the tiny villages of Kirchbracht parish, so the ones I’m looking for are usually identified as being from Illnhausen.

If he did have a son in 1722 and that was his first, it suggests he was born before 1700. Link to baptisms in the year 1700:  http://www.archion.de/p/9ece68b8dd/

Thanks very much for the help.

I believe this may be the baptism of a brother of Hans Conrad K: On the 28th of the same month [Oct 1688], Hanß Keÿßer, carpenter from ÿllhausen, had a son called Henrich baptized. Henrich Keyser, his brother, was the godfather.  http://www.archion.de/p/514ad6a5d3/

In the parish Kirchbracht there lived at that time three Hans Konrad Kaiser: Kirchbracht, Illnhausen and Mauswinkel.
Maybe this is what you are searching for:

Anno 1711

Hans Conrad Kaiser, Henrich Kaisers zu Yllhausen ehelicher Sohn, mit Anna Maria Joh: Pippen zu Kirchbracht eheliche Tochter.

http://www.archion.de/p/8dfa1d946c/

Pip, Pipe is Low German language for Pfeife. That means That Johann Pippen could be Johann Pfeifer as well.
VERY interesting.  It's just a long time until the baptism of Johann Melcher in 1722 and Anna Kunnigunda in 1728.
I found the following baptism:

Hans Conrad Kaiser von Illnhausen (today's spelling):

* 1 Jan 1714 Gertraut

* 3 Aug 1716 Anna Maria (no location mentioned)

* 24 May 1719 H…. (rest not readable)

* 11 Apr 1722 Johann Melcher

* 26 Feb 1725 Magdalena

* 6 Jun 1728 Anna Kunigunda

* 4 Oct 1731 Johannes

* 20 Feb 1735 Anna Maria

In 1738 another Hans Conrad Kaiser had a child, but he is called the young one there, which probably means the younger one. A marriage before that with another Hans Conrad Kaiser from Illnhausen would have to be checked.

In the first years of the marriage also a Hans Conrad Kaiser from Mauswinkel has children almost at the same time. In the last years a Hans Conrad Kaiser from Kirchbracht (that is the one with marriage 1726.

Birth name of the wife is Pipp.
Wow!  That's really excellent work Dieter. That's a very long span of having babies, but the records you found seem to support it.  So if the 1711 marriage is the right one, his father is Henrich not Johann and I should be looking for a baptism before 1690.
I am sure, until 1735 the children belong to Hans Conrad Kayser and Anna Maria Pipp from Illenhausen.

Then on 8 Feb 1736 again a Hans Conrad Kayser from Illenhausen (deceased Hans Kayser's son) marries an Anna Maria, Johann Philip Michel's daughter.
Dieter, I've been going through all those baptism records you located.  A couple of them actually name the mother, Anna Maria, so that lines up with the 1711 marriage record.  Thanks very much for getting me on the right track.
I'm glad to hear that. If you need help finding or reading more documents, just ask.

Do you see another marriage record for a Hanß Conrad Kayser that takes place before this baptism?

Hanß Conrad Kayser from Illhausen fathered a son on April 11 and he was named Johann Melcher at the baptism on April 19. The godfather was his brother Johann Melcher from Kirchbracht.

Thanks for your help Dieter.  This is my starting point, Anna Kunigunda's baptism record, where it describes Hans Konrad as being from Ilnhausen.  So you've made a good point about the Kaiser/Pfiefer marriage record describing Hans Konrad as being from Kirchbracht.  There are three tiny villages that adjoin each other  Illnhausen, Kirchbracht, and Mauswinkel.  It wouldn't take much to move from one to the other, so it certainly complicates things.

As far as his father, I've seen records for a Hans or Johannes K. "the carpenter", "the alderman", and "the shopkeeper".  I may have bit off more than I can chew.

I really appreciate you looking at the records Dieter.
