Is the WWI sticker supposed to place a profile in US Army WWI category?

Or does that happen when a soldier has served in unit smaller than a regiment? Or is there something on the profile I am not seeing? I know the Military and War Project wants soldiers categorized in Regiments rather than Battalions. What should we be doing with black soldiers who served in the Service Battalions or Labor Battalions? I did a little research and it seems that the Army was still segregated and the service battalions fell under the Quartermasters. I've created 2 service battalion categories and placed them under these parents:

CategoriesUnited States Army Quartermaster Corps, World War I | American Expeditionary Force (AEF) Battalions, World War I | United States Army Battalions, World War I

One of them I created today, the other a while ago. There are plans to add more soldiers to these battalions, and others like it, this year. Previously, the Project created the 761st Tank Battalion for Jackie Robinson. I think these soldiers also deserve to be recognized for their service and in their military units.

battalions can be created...just for WWI and WWII, they didn't want squadrons, companies and other such smaller units because the numbers would be nuts.

Just remember, categories are NOT a means of recognitionl they serve simply to group people and things.

Thank you. I think that is what I meant - grouped together!
All good, Lucy. Fits right into the structure for AEF units. If the unit went overseas, it goes in AEF, but if they stayed stateside, just use the Army Battalions, WWI category. Otherwise, good to go. Thanks for doing this!
