Karel's in wikitree. Have you ever heard of Robert Heinlein? How about Isaac Asimov? Ray Bradbury? John W. Campbell ?

Pulp fiction writers. Science Fiction writers. Legends whose early  work planted the seed that grew into STAR TREK and STAR WARS.

If you'd like to read their early works, you can find these giants of sci fi and many of their contemporaries, some in wikitree, some not, in

click Magazines - click on the cover picture of the mag to get a list of issues, click on the issue pic, read the magazine.

And the ones not here, maybe you'd think about bringing them here. Science fiction is international. Star Trek and Star Wars conquered the world. Enjoy finding those early beginnings.

Karel Capek *the C should have an inverted circumflex on it) was a Bohemian (now Czeck) syfy writgr.
Eddie, if you're into the pulp mags, you might get a kick out of this:  http://thrilling-tales.webomator.com/derange-o-lab/pulp-o-mizer/pulp-o-mizer.html  I made one for my husband's birthday last year.  ("He Traveled 50 Years into the Future!!!")  My dad got me into Analog (formerly Astounding) as a kid and I have a huge backlog of them that I'll hopefully get around to reading one of these days.

Thanks for the suggestion Eddie! I always enjoyed watching Star Trek with my father, those were good times. When Star Wars came along, we went to see it at the theater. He was not as enthralled about it as I was. Must have been a generation thing? I'll check into the magazines on the link you provided! I love that science fiction stuff!
