Lort Baronet's - Wales / England / Notables - Do they need any special Attention?

Hello All!

I have just done a big renovation of 3 notables being the 3 Lort Baronets of Stackpoole Court (now Stackpole, Pembrokeshire).

All are listed on The Peerage website and and also exist in some form on Wikipedia / WikiData. Although 2 have not had their profiles created there yet they are all mentioned on the Family page for the Baronets of Stackpoole Court... info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lort_baronets.

Profiles (Oldest to youngest)

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lort-12

I Wanted to know if either / both of the Wales or England projects had any interest in these, I know in some cases profiles are taken over when they are notable by the localities projects. This being a bit of an awkward one as they are "Baronets of England" based on the timeframe, but all are Welsh notables at the same time...

Daniel, Thanks very much.

I have just made a CIB for Stackpole esate and added them to it.

We certainly are interested in them in the Wales project. Our definition is geographical. So Baronets living in Pembrokeshire we like to manage unless there are good reasons otherwise.

Brilliant, I wasn't sure which project to tag ect... I will be doing some more Welsh baronets in the coming days as I have seen there's a few missing off wikitree so I will hit you up if I need any help category wise (as its something I am still in the process of getting to grips with fully).
Will be delighted to help. We’re working our way through the counties in a vaguely methodical way, but whenever somebody wants something specific we will do our best oblige.
Hello Steve

The England Project has embarked upon a tidying up exercise on the subcategories of the "Baronetage of England", and we have stumbled upon the embarassing fact that, for whatever historic reason, the Baronetage of England includes baronets who are clearly Welsh. Should we be managing the "Baronetage of England" jointly with the Wales Project? We have started to standardise the category names as "Baronets [Surname] of [Place]". Do you want to do the same for the Welsh baronets?
Hi Stephen,

A very good point. Realistically, although such families as the Mostyns of Talacre are baronets in Wales, the baronetcies are English.

Fortuitously, I have been working on these to give them the format recently recommended. (See Mostyn-145).

I can obviously add the English Baronetcy category if this is what people would like.

Happy to listen to people’s views.

Steve
Yes, please, add them to the Baronetage of England category. We think that fewer than 10% of the baronetcies that should be there have categories yet, so it would be good to improve on the representation.
