Richard Kimball - question on last name/parents

This could be right, but it seems very odd to me: Richard Kimball's last name now is Kimbail.  His LNAB is still Kimball, but could it be that a bad merge changed his last name, and also added parents back?

I didn't hear any response from posting something on his profile, or sending a message to the person who changed it to Kimbail, so thought I'd post it here.

Thanks, Ellen.  I did see that merge.  My question is whether it was a good merge (went the right direction, etc.)  His profile is protected and says not to add parents, so that, coupled with his last name change made me think the merge perhaps was done without full knowledge of Richard Kimball's profile.
It's gotta be a typo,

Should ble Kimball, Kimbail-9 should have been merged into Kimball-60 or whatever, not the other way around.

Kimbail-9's parents, his father is Kimbail his mother is Kimball, that's probably where the typo occurred.
Ugh.

Wasn't his Kimball profile protected? Ugh. Hate when this happens.

1. It should be KIMBALL

2. He should NOT be attached to any parents (see Disputed Origins section)

3. One of his speculative fathers, Henry, should also be KIMBALL not Kimbail.

sigh.
I'm going in...
Looks like someone reversed the merge; he's back to Kimball-60; thank good ness.

I detached the parents.

There's still a bunch of stuff at the end of his profile narrative that needs moving to the pertinent profiles of his children, etc. Would love it if someone else could take that on. Thanks.
I've also started a separate thread about his speculative brother Henry who also has some incorrect parents.
Thanks for all the help on this. Being that he is/was supposed to be protected, I didn't want to take any action.
