Familysearch.org is a free site and has sources, here is one

"Australia, Queensland Cemetery Records, 1802-1990," database with images, FamilySearch(https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVB7-LTT3 : 15 December 2020), Thomas Henry Booth, 1948; citing Burial, Jamberoo, New South Wales, Australia, private collection of Jim and Alison Rogers, Bargara; FHL microfilm 1,363,504.

Wow, that seems a real jumble -- Cemetery records from Queensland for a burial in New South Wales.

I wonder if that's because the information came from privately held records.  I would be looking for more information from the government records sources, and Trove.

Is there a reason why you suspect the man at Jamberoo is the same person as the one near Chiltern?

Jamberoo Thomas allegedly moved south to Jamberoo.

A Thomas W. Booth was in the Chiltern area in 1915.

Electoral rolls indicate his name was Thomas Walter Booth, and in 1906 he was a carter and lived at Dorna Mungi.

A Thomas Walter Booth was born at Chiltern in 1867.

Thomas owned the house that burnt down, so land records will probably confirm his full name.

Thanks Leandra, it does appear that Thomas Walter Booth is the correct person.
