Is This a Permissible Source?

In Elizabeth Putnam's profile, I've cited a letter she wrote that is contained within the Special Collections at Marietta College. I also wrote a brief description of its contents and cited my own novel because it contains her letter in its entirety. Is it permissible to quote my own work as a source?

I would cite the Special Collections at Marietta College as the == Source ==, and put your novel in a "See Also" section.

Good idea - and to respond to the other part - there's no shame in acknowledging your own work that is used as a source. In fact, I'd be rather proud that something I did, like creating a book on genealogy or on a specific family line, was able to be used as a source on a profile.
@Kitty I did cite the Special Collection as  ==Source== for the letter. Since the letter content is not easily available, and I give a brief description, I also cited my novel. Should I have said that its typed transcription in PDF format is held by me? Marietta College said the contents of Hildreth's collection is so worn that they only use the typed transcriptions.
@Scott Thanks! I was fascinated by Betsey's willingness to move to the wilderness. Writing about Shays's Rebellion, she said, "These commotions seem to be over for the present, but I know not how soon they may revive again which make me more willing to leave a country the subject of such tumult." Awesome glimpse of current events!
You certain could post that additional info.  The more info the better.

How very interesting! I ran the relationship finder, as I have some Putnams in my ancestry, and Betsey is my fourth cousin 6 times removed. (And those shoes wouldn't look at all odd today!)

Betsey is my first cousin 5 times removed, so we are probably distantly related. Hello cousin!

I wanted to put the shoe image on her profile but, when I checked the digital rights page, it would cost $25 to use it. Certainly looks like she enjoyed wearing those, they appear well-worn. LOL
