New member introducing myself

Question

Hello WikiTree Genealogist's!  I would love to introduce myself!  I am very new to this research.  I am a former 911 dispatcher from the 5th largest California city.. I retired 10 years ago and bought land, taught myself how to homestead like my Great-Grandmother Nanny Butcher and now, I am reentering the sane world and learning all bout the Butcher Line... Learning about the Corrales line (this is my brick wall!).  Moving to my fathers side I am working on the Hoffman and Conner and Robb names... Just getting started working on this site so bear with me... I know I will make mistakes.

This whole research thing has woken up my 'find the bad guy' instincts and totally using what all the prior detective training to find my ancestors.  It's highly addictive.  There needs to be a warning label on family tree sites.  (I also have a wickedly strange sense of humor.... It comes from holding life all together during massive stress.)
