Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Another reason not to add it, is that it’s a portrait of Mary Fiennes (it’s a double portrait, but the other sitter has been cut off.)

Unfortunately, there are a number  of unreliable memorials for this time period.

You really shouldn't "take" images from another site without permission, and this includes findagrave. You can check wikimedia commons to see if there are any copyright-free images you can use. I noticed that the Find a Grave image also provides no source.  I wouldn't use it.
