any info on Alfred Soderholm b.apx.1900 d.6/26/38

Alfred Soderholm was born in the Duluth MN area, I'm guessing around 1900-1905.  His parents were both immigrants from Sweden.  He married Ida Helmer and had two children, Joan and Bud in 1930 and 32.  He died in 1938 in a house fire.  He worked in the mines nights, and he slept in the day.

I am looking for any information on his parents/siblings/family.

There is a J A Södeholm, born in 1854 or 1855, from Östergötland. He emigrated in 1880, June 4, through Gothenburg with the destination St. Paul.

There is also a Johan Söderholm from Norrköping who emigrates from Norrköping in 1880, April 28 but his destination is not known and neither is his date of birth.

In 1885 there is a Maria Kajsa, born in 1862 or 1863, from Brattfors parish. Her destination is St Paul and her date of emigration through Gothenburg is June 8, 1885.

These are the people I could find in the Emigranten Populär 2006, that match the information given by Vic. To be sure I need exact date of birth and preferably more information on where in Sweden they came from.

Minnesota Death records show that his parents were John A. Soderholm and Mary K. Magnuson.

According to the 1910 US Census, John was born about 1855 In Sweden, and.John came to US in 1880. Mary was also born in Sweden about 1862, and she came to the US in 1885. They had (at least) 5 children: Roy, Carl A.R., Carl P., Mary A., and Carl. (Yep, 3 Carl's.)

A Johan Alfred Soderholme died in Saint Louis County, MN, on 9 Apr 1914.  I think this is the correct person, as Mary is a widow in 1920.

I can post this and other finding on the profile for you if you will grant meTrusted List Status.

Thank you for your research Vic.  I will copy this and post it on the profile.  This is my family so all the help is appreciated.  I will ask Laurel to approve you for the Trusted List.  Thanks again.
Thank you for your help, Vic.  I cannot figure out how to add someone to the trusted list by their Wiki-number.  It asks for their email....
Cousin, go to your privacy settings towards the bottom.
I have added "Carl" to the applicable siblings.  Carl Paul, Carl Alfred R.

Mom is wondering why we even need to put the Carl in the profiles, since no one even know them as Carls.  This makes sense to me, but I'm thinking it is to keep the records straight.  How did Vic know they were all named Carl in the first place?

Thanks, everyone, for your help.  This is so fun and interesting.
In order for our records to be straight, we need to add the complete name.  If you need to add some notes about you guys not calling them Carl, you can put those in the bio section.  Otherwise, it all looks great.
I think we should put Carl & 1st name as the first name.
It is very confusing.
