Merging two Unknown LNAB profiles

+9 votes
There are two profiles that appear to be the same person, but one is UNKNOWN-xxxxx and the other is Unknown-yyyyy.  The lower number is for UNKNOWN, but, from reading the style guide, it appears that Unknown is preferable to UNKNOWN.

Which variant of Unknown should be used when merging the two together?

It was intended as a generic question, but the two I am reseaching are the following:

  • UNKNOWN-118291, and
  • Unknown-168516

I am not looking for input on whether these two should be merged at all - only a response that if they are merged because they are for sure the same person, which variant of the last name should be used.

Defintely not the one that says " UNKNOWN"  in capitals, i.e. UPPERCASE

( theoretically) .
Thank you. That answers my question.
