Gisele was recently awarded a Super Star Badge for her work on the Project Protected Profiles for the Acadian project. We have over 450 such profiles and she worked with me for 18 months to edit every single one of them, clean them up, add sources, develop the biographies further. I was reminded today again of Gisele's excellent work because she recently answered a question about the possible metis background and deportation locations of an Acadian. She provided so much information for a particularly complex life, involving DNA research up the family line, census records, multiple marriage documents regarding their locations over a period of time. All in a very readable, conversational style. This is just one example of the excellent research Gisele adds to our body of knowledge about Acadians. Then to top it off, she offered to add a missing profile to help connect the person making the inquiry. So much appreciated, Gisele!
