If they were injured in WW2 then yes, you can add a sticker to his profile.
There are probably records for him, but might be on paid sites.

Thank you for your assistance I know he married Florence in August 1945 in the Holy Name RC Church Manchester and that  his marriage record gives his  detail as craftsman 5254925. The death date is correct
I actually changed the Death Date from reflecting only the year the actual date within the profile (as reflected on the source).

I just figured that I'll let you take it from there, but I did notice that your source for the marriage date and location isn't reflected on the profile. I wasn't sure if you had realized this.

Anyways, sometimes it takes a little something/help that allows much more information to be located.

Just a little more helpful information/resources...

Just in case you weren't aware of the following links, these are a good place to start regarding those who lived in England and even served in the England Military.

https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/familyhistory/get_started/archives_01.shtml

I can't guarantee anything, but the above is a great start! :-))

Thank you very much for your assistance

The national archives sadly does not have ww2 records of service men I will explore the other links shortly as I would like to clarify which part of the Army he was in

Thanks once again

Much of genealogy is about ordinary blokes, and they definitely deserve recognition.

If family and friends know that he was injured in the war, you can document what you know in the text of his profile (when and where he served, where he was injured, etc.) and indicate the source of your information (for example, if you heard him tell stories about his experience, you could say that this is what he told the family, and cite yourself: as remembered by Anon Sharkey in March 2021).

The Military and War stickers are not supposed to be restricted to officers, but I suppose that the parameters we are supposed to enter in the stickers (regiments, dates, etc.) might be harder to find for ordinary soldiers than for officers. (I know that I have found it difficult to get the data that the stickers request.) Stickers can be used without adding all of the requested details, and ideally they would be designed so they look OK when the details are not available.
