Actually, it's not my place to honor the supreme leader and founder of WikiTree, and probably others have already done it; but it just felt close to my heart to do it.
A year ago I didn't even know that WikiTree existed and when I started I didn't understand some things right away. It didn't occur to me at all that I couldn't just download and link my family tree; I also found everything complicated and confusing at first.
Today I can say it is the best genealogical website I have seen so far. It is the fact that you are forced to provide sources and can track all changes that makes it so unique. Of course, some still get around that, but I just haven't found anything better yet.
Chris had not only a groundbreaking and forward-looking idea with his vision, but he actually implemented it and created an unforgettable work.
And I personally enjoy working on it every day.
Thanks for everything
