Who were parents of the Abigail Smith (b. ca. 1697?) married 1721 to Jonathan Park II.

Jonathan Park II married 1721 (Newton, Mass.) to an Abigail Smith.  She is often shown as daughter of Thomas Smith of Sandwich, but due to the distance from Newton, this has now been challenged.  Instead it was suggested she was Abigail Smith baptized 1697 in Watertown (which is very close to Newton).  But I could find no primary source verifying such a baptism.  It should be noted that there are also two Abigail Smiths born in Boston in this time period.  Abigail Smith (daughter of Bryant Smith) supposedly married John Fife, but could not verify she was actually the one who married John Fife.  The other Abigail Smith of Boston was daughter of Seth Smith (no marriage found for her).  Anyway, here is a weblink to the proposal challenging Abigail Smith of Sandwich and instead suggesting an Abigail Smith of Watertown married Jonathan Park II (Park-629):  https://www.ancestry.com/mediaui-viewer/collection/1030/tree/168292664/person/182268438959/media/c82f39db-0950-473b-bb59-43fda4a91c78?_phsrc=Wzh15724&usePUBJs=true

Bond's Early Settlers of Watertown, page 434 refers to the Thomas Smith referenced by the Ancestry page, the son of Thomas and Mary (Hosmer) Smith, and says he was probably the Thomas Smith of Cambridge Farms who had daughters Abigail and Ruth baptized at Watertown on 12 Sep 1697 and made a will on 20 Jan 1735-36 naming only his wife Abigail. No record of the baptisms or of the will appear to be extant, but Bond was a careful researcher and when he was writing in the 1850s may have had access to documents that have since been lost.

Without further evidence, I think that the parents of Abigail (Smith) Park should be considered as unknown.
