Kerry, I still maintain that my confirmation statements are correct as written. The other confirmation statements are because the two people cited as having DNA matches are full cousins, sharing the same great grandmother and the same great grandfather. The one I cited here that only mentions the paternal relationship is because the two people cited as having DNA matches are half cousins, only sharing the same great grandfather but having different great grandmothers. I am really not interested in whatever algorithms or reasons therefor are used to generate error messages. All I know is that my statements are based on correct analysis and if they are flagged as erroneous then the flagging algorithm is what needs fixing.
By the way, I don't know if the boilerplate for the confirmation statements has been changed since I used it, but I distinctly recall that they only included the word "parental" and did not include "maternal" or "paternal" as options. I knew, when I used "paternal" in this example, that it was not the prescribed way, but did so because it was correct, while the prescribed "parental" would not have been correct.
