Walter Henry Hamilton (1891) What year did he pass away?

Any thoughts on where and what date he passed? A cemetery memorial?

Note: He worked in the railroad and one of his positions was a passenger trainman. What would that have been as occupation? He was a brakeman and a conductor.

It may only be an indication that he worked on the passenger trains and not the freight trains.

That would make sense as passenger service is listed in WWII draft card

I can’t find the 1910 census for him yet. This seems to be his Census of 1910 Here. The last name is odd “Atherton”

His sister Maude married Atherton and is widowed in 1910,  The census taker probably asked for household members and whomever answered said Henry, Sarah, daughter Maude Atherton and son Walter-  And Walter got a ditto after Maude?

Thank you got stuck on that. So it’s him after all lol yes

Interesting in 1910 Walter is a Salesman at dry goods store at age 19. Maude is a physician “Osteopath” ? Father works as watchman at State Asylum? I think I got that right. The terms are different for the era

See p. 15    Dr. A Maude Atherton lower right column

Her second husband was a minister, Rev. William C. Crerie and here is his divorce from first wife.  The Pittsburgh Press
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
11 Jan 1912   https://www.newspapers.com/clip/15067516/the-pittsburgh-press/

And he must have divorced Maude as well.

"New York, New York City Marriage Records, 1829-1940," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:248H-LF1 : 10 February 2018), William Crerie and Lillian Tobiesen, 12 Aug 1929; citing Marriage, Manhattan, New York, New York, United States, New York City Municipal Archives, New York; FHL microfilm 1,653,838.

Oh interesting! Maude married twice. This helps in her genealogy. Thank you. Adding to her tree one leaf at a time laugh

It appears he was married at least 3 times

I just thought it odd that a Minister would be divorced at least 3 times, one of which made the headlines. I couldn't find Maude anywhere after 1917-18 when she is listed on his draft registration.

It’s definitely odd and he married an older widow!

I believe he is on find a grave see Here

I added him to Maude as a spouse

I would like to add more about Maude as a physician as she must of done well for herself a woman of her day and a death date

Also adding his wives to his profile need source of 1st wife.

His occupation per WWI draft card was Fuel Briquetts?

Hi Chris we have death date per family source now for Walter smiley

I cannot find Maude anywhere after the draft record.  Tried Maude A, Crerie ; Maude A, Hamilton,  Amelia M. ... etc.  in MA and NY
I’m updating W. Crerie with the sources.
