Registration is now closed for our 2021 Spring Clean-a-Thon!

This is our fifth annual Clean-a-Thon. The mission is to clear out as many database suggestions as possible in 72 hours. 

The cleaning will start on Friday, April 23, at 8 AM (EDT) and run until Monday, April 26, at 8 AM (EDT).

Will you join us?

To register, just click the ANSWER button and say "Sign me up!" or whatever and include a few words about your location and/or genealogical interests. This will help us assign you to a team. If you already know what team you'd like to be on, say that. The current teams are listed here. More may be added.  Please double-check and make sure the team you are interested in is participating.

Not sure where to post my guess total number of how much we get done. My guess is 175,000.

I unconnected a potential merge because I thought the wives were different people, but then found a source showing they were the same person. I said I corrected it, but I didn't. How do I fix my mistake?

I'd restart the merge, put the documentation for the wives matching on both wives, and then start the wife merge.

I am a historian living in Scotland and have access to many records, documents and genealogies. I speak Gaelic. I have noticed many errors in family trees on this and other sites which I am happy to clear up.

I would like to participate as I have been cleaning up profiles already and haven't been part of a group yet. I am open to helping wherever needed but have spent more time working with profiles in Europe and the U.S. More specifically, the British Isles and the Alsace region in Europe and in the states I now manage multiple profiles in PA, VA, IA but mostly my home state of North Carolina :). If it isn't too late to sign up I hope I am included...next step "Pre-1500" certification!
