Hi Jody,
Thanks for your question. The profiles of Anne, her parents and grandparents already exist in WikiTree. Here is Anne Bourgeois. Once the profile of Anne that you created is merged with her duplicate, she will be connected with the other members of her family. Her husband and son are also duplicated and will have to be merged.
A few tips:
*Very often, for people who lived before the 1800s, their profiles already exist. It is important, before creating a profile, to search for an existing one. They may be the same or similar name and same or close birthdate. Sometimes the birth and death locations can differ if they are unsourced. To search for a profile, you enter the person's name in the search boxes at the top of a WikiTree page. Then sort by birthdate and scan the relevant time period for similar names. If you do not find a match, you can try with the spouse's or the parents' names.
*Since you've taken the pre-1700 quiz, you know that profiles before 1700 must have a reliable source. The sources that you cite are not the most valid. You could review the quiz for recommendations and also consult the Pre-1700 Profiles Help Page. For Acadian ancestors like Anne, the Acadians Project Reliable Sources Page offers numerous sources with prepared citation templates ready to use. There is also a list of Reliable Sources for other projects. The family tree of genealogist Karen Theriot Reader is another place to find good sources for Acadian ancestors, family members and to verify dates. (Always give her credit when using her work!)
Please do not hesitate to contact the members of the Acadians Project team (Jackie Girouard, Cindy Bourque Cooper and me for Acadians, as well as Joyce Rivette, Stephanie Ward and Jackie Girouard for Louisiana) if you have further questions. We are always happy to help.
