My great grandfather was in the Panama Canal Zone then relocated to Honolulu HI as part of the Army Air Corps. One newspaper article said he was at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941. My grandmother told my cousin he was shipped out the day before. In 1942, he was captured by the Japanese in the Philippines. He was not part of the Bataan Death March because he was in a POW hospital fighting malaria and berry-berry according to family history. He had a brother who was KIA in France in Oct 1918.  I wanted to share this family photo of Herman Weatherford with the community. Location: Little Rock, Pulaski, Arkansas, United States. Date: Aug 1942.
