Why can merged profiles be adopted?

I see folks adopting a merged into protected profile that is visible here:

https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:NetworkFeed&who=Honeycutt-1263

How does it let you become profile manager after merge and then when account is deleted, let another person adopt the profile?  (See above feed.)

I think there is some database bug that needs to be fixed here.

It looks like maybe Honeycutt-1263 wasn't fully merged away (they still show as a child on https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Honeycutt-490), and may have been adopted that way.

It doesn't really affect anything, someone being the manager of Honeycutt-1263 doesn't make them the manager of the surviving profile. We run a clean-up script every once to fix these.

Jamie, if spouses and children can be added as they were in Dec 2019, there is no history being shown.  Hopefully, it was a glitch that won't happen again or was corrected.

Changes Log shows that profile was merged back in Apr 2019.  Looking at the Changes Log, it does show that she adopted the Honeycutt-1263 profile yesterday.  It also shows that spouses and children were added in Dec 2019, as well as another person adopting that profile, which was 'after' the merge.
